The MTS Group has announced the opening of a new depot at Cumbernauld to offer rental services for Bobcat products in Scotland.

MTS Group Scotland
MTS Group runs one of the largest fleets of Bobcat compact equipment for hire in the UK and one of the biggest in Europe. The new Cumbernauld depot adds to the existing MTS hire depots at Leigh in Lancashire, Birtley in Tyne & Wear and at the headquarters in Wakefield.
The expansion has been accompanied by ongoing investment in Bobcat compact loaders and excavators worth over £1.5 million for the MTS Group hire fleet, providing new machines for hire from the Cumbernauld depot and the company's other outlets.
Peter Watson, Managing Director of MTS Group, said: "Scotland has always been a busy market for us, especially in the winter months and in times of inclement weather, when the Bobcat range is in its element. Winter attachments such as snow blowers, buckets, snow blades and salt and sand spreaders are all available from Cumbernauld, part of a fleet of over 100 Bobcat attachments for hire from MTS Group.
"In the past, we have served the Scottish market from our Birtley depot near Newcastle, but the opening of the Cumbernauld depot allows us to enhance our service in Scotland, bringing it right to the doorstep of our customers in Glasgow and Edinburgh and elsewhere in Scotland."
Alongside the hire of products, the company can also offer full training for the use of any product in the fleet. MTS Group is nationally approved to provide training to all levels of competence and at two standards, Bobcat Accredited Training and LANTRA Awards.
The training can take place either at the customer's premises or on the dedicated training grounds run by MTS Group. Course durations are between one and five days depending on the level of competence of the operator.
