Specialist fertiliser spreader and seed drill manufacturer Sulky-Burel has launched its UK sales subsidiary, as part of the company’s strategy to develop the French farm equipment brand in European export markets.

After France and Germany, the UK represents the next largest European farm machinery market for the company. The new subsidiary, Sulky Burel UK Ltd, will provide opportunities for closer relationships with the UK market and direct contact with UK farmers, to improve feedback and product development.

A number of agricultural dealers across the UK have already agreed to distribute Sulky products which prior to 1 November 2015 were marketed exclusively through importer RECO Ltd.

Based in Bourne, Lincolnshire, the Sulky Burel UK Ltd headquarters shares sales and technical teams with Gregoire Besson UK Ltd. Sulky and Gregoire Besson produce complementary products and the company says this collaboration enables the two brands to offer UK farmers a wide and quality offer.

Promotion, sales and after-sales service is provided by a team of eight in the Bourne office, where a logistics centre for spare parts is also located.
