A garden machinery dealership could be demolished to make way for a fast-food restaurant in Mapperley, Nottingham, reports the Nottingham Post.
Plans are being discussed to demolish World of Mowers, at 701 Woodborough Road. The store has been in negotiations with fast food chain KFC who want to take over their premises. Neil Brand, owner of World of Mowers, previously told the Nottingham Post his business would reopen nearby. He said: "If KFC is successful we will relocate somewhere else. I want to make it clear to my customers that we won't be closing – we'll just carry on at other premises." Mr Brand added that the business will not be affected if the move goes ahead. If KFC do move in it could lead to 40 full and part-time jobs.
