IOG CONFERENCE
IOG and BIGGA to partner at 2014 Awards

Over 250 delegates attended the annual IOG Conference and Awards at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry yesterday.  Amonst the speakers at the day-time conference were Jennie Price, CEO of Sport England and Gethin Jenkins, Head of Delivery for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

During the conference, IOG CEO Geoff Webb announced that IOG and BIGGA would be partners at the 2014 Awards which would include new awards for the golf course sector.

The Professional Groundsman of the Year was won by Adrian Kay of York Racecourse, whilst Tony Stones accepted the award for Wembley Stadium as the Professional Sports Ground Team of the Year.  Former Glamorgan Head Groundsman, Len Smith was presented with the IOG Lifetime Achievement Award.
