OXFAM CONTRACT FOR GORDON AGRI
Worth £80,000 over two years
Loch Lomond dealers Gordon Agri have secured a contract to supply OXFAM with eight Arctic Cat diesel ATV’s coupled with general purpose trailers and service/maintenance pack provisions to cover a 2 year period. The value of this contract is over £80,000.

Arctic Cats were chosen as they are a road legal, 2-seater vehicle that can run on red diesel. This specification made them ideal for use in OXFAM's South Sudan Crisis appeal. The machines will be used to support the supply of food, water and other essentials to the large number of refugees in South Sudan.
Due to the volatile state of the country the security and safety of OXFAM workers/volunteers is key and due to this it was requested that the Arctic Cats were supplied in white rather than standard green, in keeping with international peace keeping and support vehicles. David Gordon of Gordon Agri said, "We were of course happy to complete this transformation by applying specialist painting products and techniques."
David continued, "All the equipment had to be prepared for air freight and although we are experienced at containerisation, the air industry work with far tighter controls. We had to ensure that all materials and liquids were accompanied with technical data sheets to comply with air freight regulations. The physical crating of the machines also had to comply with air fright standards and as a company we are pleased to have gained this experience for future requirements.
"We are now an accredited supplier to OXFAM and due to us delivering the goods on time and within budget we anticipate supplying additional machines to support OXFAM in the excellent work they carry out in crisis hit regions throughout the world."
