The American manufacturer of Cub Cadet garden machinery, which is a major multi-million pound brand in the US, is rolling out a pan European marketing push for its ride-on and walk-behind machines and scarifiers in 2013 and the UK is one of the primary target markets.
Although it currently enjoys only a small market share in the UK, through its 200+ strong dealer network, the strong branding campaign mirroring EU initiatives, will help ensure that Cub Cadet sales grow, making it a major brand.
Cub Cadet are premium performance machines designed for gardens with larger than average lawns and are available only through an expanding specialist dealer network covering the UK. They offer a new dimension in driver comfort plus a range of collecting, discharging and mulching options and also unique characteristics, like zero turns.
Regardless of the size of lawn, the finish required or the topographical features of the garden, there will be a Cub Cadet lawnmower ideally suited to the job. There is also a range of lawn scarifiers to enable top-quality lawns to be achieved without having to use chemicals.
Nick Hills, the UK head of sales and marketing for Cub Cadet, said, "Cub Cadet are excellently engineered machines that will easily tackle growing conditions on British lawns. They are unique in offering such a wide range of options for collecting, discharging or mulching enabling the gardener to cope with our increasingly variable weather. It means the Cub Cadet can cut the lawn, even when it is very wet. The extensive height of cut option allied to the mulching option makes the brand the ideal partner in dry conditions. It really is a brand for season-long mowing.”
The range of 1000 Series and 700 Series ride-on machines is designed specifically for different sizes of lawns and offer a choice of either side or rear discharge. The Zero Turn range has either a conventional steering wheel or steering levers. A Mini-Rider is compact and easily manoeuvrable with options to collect, discharge or mulch the cuttings. The Briggs & Stratton powered TriLoy walk-behind machines have a range of cutting widths and heights plus a host of engineering innovations including decks made from a combination of steel, aluminium and a composite of polymers for unrivalled strength, lightness and durability.
