John Moverley, chairman of the Amenity Forum, is set to become 'David Dimbleby' at an event being held at SALTEX this year.
On the Tuesday, he will chair a 'Question Time' style debate and discussion with the overall title of ''Integrated control of pests, weeds and diseases: What does this mean in practice?''. Panellists will include Paul Singleton (Chairman of the Forum's Education and Training Committee), Will Kay (Managing Director of Languard) and David Wain (Sheffield Council). There will also be a panel member from IOG.
John Moverley said ''We welcome the opportunity to hold this debate at such an important event as SALTEX. We are all aware of the need to take a more integrated approach but there remains many questions as to exactly what this means or how we can achieve it. Such questions include addressing issues of effectiveness, costs, environmental factors and more. We hope many will attend the session and make this a really rewarding debate''
SALTEX is organised by IOG, who are members of the Amenity Forum, and will take place at Royal Windsor Racecourse from September 3rd to 5th. www.iog-saltex.com
Another very important date is October 17th when the Amenity forum are holding a major conference at Leicester City Football Ground. This has a wide range of high profile speakers as well as exhibition stands. It is a must attend event!
