Exploring ways of maximising revenues was a key message from Peter Chaloner, managing director of Henton & Chattell, recently when he addressed almost 500 dealers at Donington Park on 5th October and Oakley Hall on the 11th.
Attendees joined the Henton & Chattell teams on the two dealer days and were given presentations by key manufacturers.

Peter Chaloner (above) began proceedings with a business overview before handing over to Henton & Chattell’s trade sales manager, Andy Marvin, who spoke about Cobra, Billy Goat and Murray, explaining the latest developments and new products from each brand.

Peter Melrose and Steve Roskell from EGO Power+ then addressed dealers, talking about the successes of the 56volt lithium-ion range and unveiled the new X-series of professional products that EGO will be launching in 2018. Leigh Bowers from Allett also spoke, highlighting the continued success of Allett with particular focus on its cordless range of Liberty mowers that launched this year.

After the presentations, dealers went outside into the grounds of the venues to try out the machines. Highlights in this session included many new products from Cobra such as three new rear roller mowers, an AirMow with a Briggs & Stratton ReadyStart engine, and the new S Series engines. Henton & Chattell also used the opportunity to introduce the brand new range of Zero Turn mowers from Murray.

Peter Chaloner commented: “Our dealer days are always a great way of launching new products whilst also getting the opportunity to speak to our dealers to get their feedback and insight on the market. It was great to see so many dealers in attendance, they all responded well to the new products and we look forward to seeing the product selling through in 2018.”
There was a prize draw on each day with first prize of £200 Virgin Experience voucher. This was won by Anglian Mowers at Donington Park and Derek’s Garden Machinery at Oakley Hall.
