DEERE'S PETER LEECH TO RETIRE
Leaving company after 41 years

Peter Leech
Long-serving John Deere service and training manager, Peter Leech is to retire at the end of April.

Peter joined the company as a trainee in the service department straight from Caythorpe College, Grantham where he studied agricultral engineering. He then progressed through the service and training departments at Langar, also spending some time at Deere's European HQ at Mannheim.

Most recently, Peter has been Regional Training Manager covering Europe and many of the Eastern-bloc territories.

Along with others, he is also credited with the formation of the Landbased Technicans Accreditation scheme (LTA), and is the past-president of IAgrE and received an Honorary Fellowship at the IAgrE Annual Conference at Harper Adams University on 14 March.

Although he is leaving Deere, Peter plans to continue with consultancy and projects within the land-based engineering sector.
