STIHL GB has provided support to an international disaster response team working in the typhoon-devastated Philippines.

At the request of the Philippine government the Emergency Response Team (Search and Rescue) flew out on Saturday - with two STIHL MS 261 C-M chain saws, spares and accessories in their valuable kit bags.

ERTSAR is a charity that provides emergency and disaster response, search and rescue and medical teams to deploy and respond to help others. In the Philippines, the 16-strong team will be working in areas still unreached over ten days after Typhoon Haiyan hit.

Joerg Bauerle of STIHL GB (pictured left) handed over the STIHL MS 261 C-M chain saws to Steve Fox.  When Steve isn't using his skills with ERTSAR his day job is with the Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service.
