The campaign which officially goes live on Monday (March 30th) stars Kriss Akabusi, Roger Black, Derek Redmond and John Regis - with master of ceremonies and engine expert Tiff Needell.
You can keep up to date with all the action by following @4MenWentToMow on Twitter - and to see the whole video visit the Briggs & Stratton YouTube page from Monday.
With the revolutionary InStart system there is no need to pull the traditional recoil cord to start lawnmower engines, just push a button or turn a key and you're off!
To mark the launch of this innovative starting system, Briggs & Stratton has reunited some of the fastest starters in athletics history for a lawnmower race of gold medal standards!
Kriss Akabusi, Derek Redmond, Roger Black and John Regis made sporting history back in 1991 when they fought off stiff competition at the Tokyo World Championships to win gold in the 4x400 metre relay.
Now, for the first time in 24 years, the boys are back for a race with a difference. This time, instead of working as a team, they are competing against each other! Not only that but they've swapped their batons for lawnmowers!
Briggs & Stratton invited the four legendary athletes to tackle the challenges faced by British gardeners (including the weather) and they embarked upon the Briggs & Stratton InStart Lawnmower Race.
