Giving a fine finished trim to expanses of hedge, STIHL's popular single-sided petrol hedge trimmer is now available with a second, longer-length bar.

One of the updated range of STIHL hedge trimmers launched in autumn last year, the single-sided blade model is preferred by many professionals who like to use a broad upward-sweeping action when trimming a hedge. Now greater expanses can be tended in even less time, with the trimmer blade set available in a choice of bar lengths: the original 75cm (30") plus a new longer 100cm (40") blade. The STIHL 87 hedge trimmers feature a new eco- and fuel-efficient STIHL 2-MIX petrol engine bringing this popular format in line with the advanced STIHL range. The STIHL HS 87 model is available in either a 'cutter' format (blades with wide tooth spacing and a relatively low stroke rate), or a 'trimmer' format where the blades have a narrower 30mm tooth spacing and higher 5,000 spm stroke rate. Every models' blades have high quality laser cut and double-edged diamond ground teeth, ensuring they consistently deliver an efficient and clean cut. Now the trimmer format HS 87 T is available with a choice of cutter bar lengths: the original 75cm (30") plus a new 100cm (40") blade. STIHL hedge trimmers are available from its specialist Dealers nationwide. The latest STIHL HS 82/87 range now spans a total seven models with prices starting at £469.00 ex VAT for the single-sided HS 87 with 75cm cutter or trimmer blade. Add £10.00 ex VAT for the new longer 100 cm trimmer blade.
