NEW HEDGE TRIMMERS FROM STIHL
Extend cordles range

STIHL HLA 65 long-reach

Available from 1 May 2013, two new cordless hedge trimmers are giving even more opportunities and powerful selling benefits to STIHL Dealers this spring.

STIHL HSA 66 cordless hedge trimmer
Superseding the very popular HSA 65 cordless hedge trimmer, the second generation STIHL HSA 66 may look like its predecessor, but a number of key differences add even more to its performance and appeal. Now featuring a highly efficient brushless EC motor, run time is increased whilst weight is reduced; it also tackles bigger branches with consummate ease.

Run time is an inevitable question when it comes to cordless power tools. And whilst already impressive with the HSA 65 hedge trimmer, it has increased even further with the new model HSA 66. In fact run time is up a massive 40 percent. The advanced brushless motor is so efficient, run time is an impressive 60 minutes - and that is with a single charge of the lowest capacity STIHL AP 80 battery. Innovative EC electronics also mean the rapid 3,000 per minute stroke rate remains constant under pressure, and the new 'droplet-shaped' teeth mean branches up to 30mm diameter branches can be trimmed neatly with ease. With all these strengths the STIHL HSA 66 is nevertheless a real lightweight in its class, weighing in at 400g less than the previous HSA 65.

The new HSA 66 is certainly a sound recommendation for anyone who wants to get a hedge in shape quickly and with minimum effort.

STIHL HLA 65 cordless long-reach
The first long-reach hedge trimmer available in the STIHL battery range, the HLA 65 will literally extend cordless appeal to Dealers' customers this spring. Trimming tall and wide hedges with ease from the ground (up to 3m high thanks to its over 2m length), the new long-reach model has a cutting head which adjusts through a full 115 degrees to reach over borders or cut hedge tops for example.

As ever with the STIHL cordless models, the new long-reach also offers a high standard of build and quiet performance in use. Its quality 50cm cutter bar works effortlessly through branches up to 26mm diameter, and the innovative STIHL EC brushless motor ensures a consistent stroke rate, even under varying load. The low weight and enduring EC motor delivers up to 60 minutes run time with the lowest capacity AP 80 Lithium-Ion battery; up to 140 minutes with the recommended AP 160, and a great 660 minutes when used with the new AR 900 backpack battery available this year. That's more than a full working day's use.

Available now, the STIHL HSA 66 standard and HLA 65 long-reach hedge trimmers are ideal for home gardeners and landscapers' use and particularly for those working in noise-sensitive areas. Visit the STIHL website for full details and specifications on the cordless hedge trimmer rang
