SCOTTISH DEALERS FORM NEW COMPANY
Hamilton Ross Group and G Reekie Group Ltd come together

AGCO say they are further strengthening sales, customer service and support for its Massey Ferguson, Challenger, Fendt and Valtra brands in Scotland’s central belt following the formation of a new company by its dealer franchise holders, Hamilton Ross Group and G Reekie Group Ltd.

"The establishment of the new company - Reekie Ltd - as part of the Hamilton Ross Group sees the consolidation of two very experienced, high-performing dealers which will strengthen the future of the business and boost the distribution and support of our leading brands in this important farming area,” says Mark Casement, AGCO Director Distribution Management UK and Ireland.

Reekie Ltd will trade through branches in Cupar and Perth. Hamilton Ross already trades through Hamilton Bros (Engineering) Ltd, which has depots in Bishopton, Tarbolton and Campbeltown, and also operates through Daniel Ross Engineers Ltd based in Lanark.

“AGCO is investing significantly in the development of its distribution network as part of a dynamic long-term strategy to reinforce our customer service, offer full-line product ranges and ensure an increased availability of exclusive brand expertise in our distribution outlets,” Mark explains. “The formation of Reekie Ltd provides key opportunities to extend the scope of our brands and drive strong growth in the region.”

Both Reekie Ltd depots will now provide full customer after-sales support, including parts and service, for Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Valtra and Challenger machinery. The Perth branch will become the dedicated sales focus for Massey Ferguson farm machinery, while Cupar will centre on sales of Fendt, Valtra and Challenger equipment. The addition of Valtra tractors to the Reekie franchise is a completely new move, bringing new customers and additional opportunity to the business.

“The way AGCO supports its dealers and end-users puts the emphasis firmly on boosting the customer experience with our individual brands,” adds Mark. “Today’s challenging agri-business environment calls for the closest possible relationships between farmers and their suppliers. Customer focus is at the heart of our approach. We are taking our distributor and dealer network to the next level - to increase its strength and quality, and fuel significant growth in customer satisfaction and market share. We look forward to working with the new Reekie Ltd operation in Scotland to fulfil these objectives.”
