Vincent Tractors of St. Columb, Cornwall recently held a Grassland Event which allowed local farmers to both view their range of Kubota, Deutz Fahr, Vicon and Manitou machines at work, whilst also giving them the opportunity to operate them for themselves.

Visitors could try mowing, tedding, raking, baling, wrapping and moving bales. There was also the opportunity to plough with the Vogel and Noot XM850 Vario 4 furrow plough on the back of the Kubota M7151, 150hp tractor.

“Visitors as well as our suppliers were delighted with the event and we have already had enquiries about holding another similar experience,” remarked Matthew Hodge, Vincent Tractors sales and marketing manager.

“We had a fantastic turnout and the visitors made the most of the 34 acre site to see the various machines at work as well as speaking with the machinery suppliers about the latest technology and advice.

“Grass is an important feed source in Cornwall and properly utilised can positively impact both animal health as well as farm profitability, hopefully farmers with the knowledge and machinery gained from our Grassland Event, can use this to improve their own farm profitability,” said Matthew Hodge.
