VIKING WINS DESIGN AWARD
New Series 4 the work of in-house design team

Viking Series 4 mower
Proving the excellence of its in-house design team, VIKING has received a prestigious 'Universal Design Award 2013' for its eye-catching MB 448 TC lawn mower - one of this season's newly launched VIKING 4 Series range.

Completely re-designed for 2013, VIKING 4 Series mowers include petrol electric and battery-powered models, and with two different cut widths this versatile range makes for a sound Dealer choice.  What all 4 Series mowers have in common is their practical functionality, high performance design, and the capacity to both collect grass clippings and efficiently mulch mow.  The award-winning MB 448 TC petrol model stands out for its innovative mono-handlebar, which allows for effortless emptying of the grass catcher box.

The right model for a wide range of customers
With five models available, suited to lawns up to 1,200m2, the VIKING 4 Series lawn mower range makes a great choice for many customers and thus a great choice for Dealers.   The electric ME 443 and battery-powered MA 443 mowers have a 41cm cutting width and perform powerfully and quietly on small to medium-sized lawns.  Compact in size as well as sturdy and lightweight, these manoeuvrable models are genuinely easy to use. The MA 443 uses the same quality Lithium-Ion battery as tools in the STIHL cordless range, so an investment in one battery will power up to ten garden tools.
Three petrol lawn mowers offer a choice of power classes and cutting widths of 41cm and 46cm - making them ideal for lawns up to 1,200m2. Their environmentally friendly Briggs & Stratton engines are characterised by good fuel economy and low emissions - the latter an impressive 25% below European emission limits.

Award-winning model
At the top of the range of 4 Series mowers, the distinctive mono-handled model MB 448TC has won a prestigious Universal Design Award 2013.  The Universal Design Award 2013 is an internationally recognised and highly prestigious accreditation.  A special feature of the Award is the fact that it is the only competition of its kind in which the entries are assessed by both an expert panel of designers and a one hundred-strong panel of critical consumers.  Evaluation criteria include simple and intuitive operation, safety, degree of innovation, sustainability and environmental friendliness. The awards were presented to winners in Munich at the "Munich Creative Business Week".
