The Bobcat Convention organised by the company for its dealers in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, took place in Prague in the Czech Republic from 19-23 May 2014.



As well as the EMEA dealers, the event also provided the platform for a conference held on 22-23 May, attended by members of the press from 14 different countries representing media from all over EMEA.

On the first day of the press conference, guests were welcomed by Martin Knoetgen, President of Doosan Construction Equipment in EMEA; Jose Cuadrado, Vice President Compact Equipment EMEA and Norbert Donaberger, Vice President Global Business EMEA.

One of the conference highlights was the presentation of a new series of Bobcat compact excavators. Production of the new models will start later this year at the Bobcat manufacturing plant in Dobríš, 40 km from Prague. The press were given a sneak preview of one of the models from new series, the E20, which will be joined by the E17 and E19 models.

Bobcat also spoke about celebrations for the company's one millionth loader being produced this year, representing a significant milestone for EMEA, where a fifth of all loaders sold has been in this market.

The conference closed with a presentation of a new 'Superhero'-based advertising campaign.
