REA VALLEY TRACTORS TEAM WITH SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE COLLEGE
To put on Grassland Demo Day

South Staffordshire College and Rea Valley Tractors have teamed up to deliver a grassland demo day this June.

The event, which takes place from 11am - 4pm on 8th June 2016, will be held at the College’s stunning rural Rodbaston Estate and agricultural businesses and employees across the region are invited to attend.

The event will provide visitors with the chance to enjoy demonstrations and test drive a range of machines including the new John Deere 6155R and L1534 large square baler. There will be a huge range of John Deere grass equipment including mower conditioners and round balers, alongside toppers, aerators, rakes and tedders from Joskin and Kverneland, Bailey silage and flat trailers and Tanco bale wrappers.

Guests who attend the event will also have the opportunity to find out more about South Staffordshire College’s new AgriSTEM Academy, enjoy a tour of the site as building work progresses and try out the new Tenstar Tractor simulator.

Opening this Autumn, the AgriSTEM Academy is set to transform the scale and quality of industry relevant training for the agricultural engineering & technology (AgriTech), agriculture and manufacturing sectors. The Academy will provide businesses with a unique opportunity to upskill and train their staff and will see further expansion of the range of training opportunities. New Apprenticeships in Land based Technology, Agricultural Engineering and Engineering Technology will bolster the range of existing programmes that include Apprenticeships in Agriculture and a full range of NPTC and short courses including Tractor driving, forklift and spraying.

South Staffordshire College’s dedicated Employer Engagement Team will also be on hand to offer expert advice on the College’s range of bespoke training and answer any questions about the extensive range of training facilities on-site at Rodbaston Campus.

South Staffordshire College’s Rural Estates Manager Graham Holt says, “We’re really excited about this event and together with Rea Valley Tractors, are delighted to be able to provide local farmers with the opportunity to put some of the latest agricultural machinery to the test and tell them more about the incredible new AgriSTEM Facility here at Rodbaston. The day promises to be fantastic and we look forward to welcoming businesses from across the region to our campus.”

Light refreshments will be available and those interested in attending can arrive at any time between 11am and 4pm . Guests should use the Penkridge Drive entrance to the Rodbaston Campus, where free parking will be available.

To find out more contact Rea Valley Tractors on 01743 289104 or call South Staffordshire College on 0300 456 2424.
