KUBOTA FARM MACHINERY OPENS
Full scale production facility in N. France
Kubota's global move into the large scale farming market got another step closer this month when the company invited key European suppliers to the official opening of Kubota Farm Machinery (KFM) - the new full-scale production facility in Northern France that is manufacturing the company's flagship M7001 Series.
M7001 Series The 37,000 sq m factory, the result of a €40 million investment by Kubota Corporation to accelerate the global development of its agricultural machinery business, will manufacture up to 3,000 tractors in its first two years of production for the European, North American, Oceania and Japanese markets.
Kubota say the M7001 is the cleanest, most technical and powerful tractor they have ever built. Manufactured to fulfil the stringent requirements of large-scale upland farming across the European and North American agricultural markets, it is available in three models from 130HP to 170HP (M7131, M7151 and M7171). Rob Edwards, Kubota UK's business development manager for its agricultural division, commented: "The official opening ceremony of KFM was designed to celebrate the factory going into full-scale production and mark the significant and long term investment that Kubota Corporation has made to the European market. Our new M7001 Series is going to be the pride of the Kubota brand and this production facility is the entity that is going to drive this forward." The M7001 Series is available with a choice of high performance and efficient powershift or continuously variable transmissions, giving the user the option to match the transmission to his farming needs.
