The continued growth in sales of CLAAS tractors within Ireland was reflected at the recent CLAAS UK & Ireland Annual Dealer Principals meeting, where the two main CLAAS Tractor Dealer Excellence 2016 awards both went to CLAAS dealers in the Republic of Ireland.
The strength of the new tractor market in Ireland is reflected in recent figures from the FTMTA, which show that between January and July this year, sales of new tractors are up 5% at 1335 units compared to the same period in 2015.
Two CLAAS Tractor Dealer Excellence tractor awards were made at the recent Dealer Principals meeting held at Cirencester, Gloucestershire - the Sales Growth Award 2016 and the CLAAS Tractor Sales Performance Award 2016.
The CLAAS Tractor Sales Growth Award recognises the dealer who achieved the highest growth in CLAAS Tractor sales in the UK and Ireland.

This was won by Leinster Farm Machines Ltd, who is based at Duleek, Co Meath and recently opened a second branch at Granard, Co Longford, who recorded a massive 209% increase in retail tractor sales. The award was presented to Sales Director Philip O’Hara by Gilles Mayer, Sales & Marketing Director of CLAAS Tractor SAS.
The CLAAS Tractor Sales Performance Award recognises the dealership that achieved the highest number of CLAAS Tractor sales per branch in 12 months in the UK and Ireland.

This award was won by west of Ireland dealer Quigleys Ltd, who recorded at total of 40 CLAAS Tractor sales from their base at Ahascragh, near Ballinasloe, Co Galway. The award to Seamus Quigley was made by Thierry Panadero, CLAAS Regional President for Western Europe.
