HONDA INTRODUCE CORDLESS RANGE
Handheld battery first for company

Honda is introducing its first range of products in the battery powered handheld market in dealers for the first time from today (18th March)

The company says these products compliment their Lawn and Garden line up, extending their Handheld offering from four-stroke petrol power for the first time.

Honda say their specialist engineers have worked meticulously on the offering, which includes a Lawn Trimmer plus Hedgetrimmer and Blower, to adapt technologies and ensure compliance with Honda’s own high standards as well as European standards and regulations.

The company say the introduction of this range comes during a significant move towards battery powered Lawn and Garden products in the European market place as customers seek lightweight, environmentally friendly alternatives to petrol powered products but still want to avoid the less than ideal tangled cords and messy storage of cords on mains powered products.

By utilising 56-volt DC Lithium-ion batteries Honda boast they will offer the customer the most capable products with long run times and quick charge times.

To accompany these products Honda is offering the choice of two batteries – a 2Ah and a 4Ah – offering run times of up to 130minutes. Whilst a Standard Charger is included with every product purchase there will a Fast Charger available to purchase separately - the 2Ah battery can be charged in 25 minutes.

All products carry a two year residential warranty and a one year commercial warranty.

Steve Morris, Honda (UK) Head of Power Equipment said “The Lawn and Garden market in the UK is moving and changing at a promising pace so to be entering a new sector at this time with such a strong range of products is a very exciting time for us.

“With these lightweight machines that are better for the environment in terms of zero emissions and low sound levels, we are very much looking forward to seeing their success in the market place over the coming months."
