Kubota has strengthened its supply chain and logistics offering by appointing two departmental figureheads - Solly Wilson as Supply Chain Manager and Tim Fowler as Warehouse Manager.
Both new recruits bring a wealth of knowledge within their relevant disciplines. Solly joined Kubota in July last year with 20 years industry experience, coming from chemical giant Scott Bader Co where he was UK Logistics Manager. He will look after 80 employees within a multitude of supply chain disciplines, including logistics, purchasing, facilities management, warehousing and also the customer services department.
Tim Fowler, who will report directly to Solly, has 25 years of experience in warehouse management both within his Canadian homeland and the UK. Joining the company in August last year, his remit will cover all warehousing duties and security on site, leading a team of 12 within the warehouse. Both new recruits will be stationed at Kubota's Thame headquarters in Oxfordshire.
Solly commented on his new role and Kubota as an organisation: "Coming from different industries to those that Kubota operates in, I saw this move as an opportunity to step into a new sector and challenge myself. Kubota is a diverse organisation, with a great culture, strong work ethic and exciting growth plans.
Tim Fowler added: "I only had to look at what Kubota does for my local community in Oxfordshire to know that it was the right match for my long term career plans. Whether it be sponsoring rugby teams, annual charity bike rides or educational outreach projects, the community engagement Kubota offers demonstrates the inclusive ethos of the business."
