Industry figures honoured at John Deere

The 2017 IAgrE Awards were presented at John Deere on 27 April in front of members and guests.

The Chief Executive of LEAF, Caroline Drummond MBE, former AEA stalwart Duncan Russell now chief executive of the National Association of Agricultural Contractors (NAAC), JCB’s Robin Carter, David White of Harper Adams University and Jonathan Henry of John Deere were amongst the recipients of the Institution of Agricultural Engineers (IAgrE) 2017 Awards presented yesterday (27 April) at the UK headquarters of John Deere at Langar.
 Dr Robert Merral presents the award to Duncan Russell (right), chief executive of the NAAC The student award winners were Daniel Robertson of Harper Adams who won the Johnson New Holland Award along with Phillip Mattey and Michael Matthias, both of Coleg Sirgar.
IAgrE branch awards were presented to David Clare, Nick Handy, Mike Sheldon and David Wilks.
The Awards followed the IAgrE 2017 Annual General Meeting, hosted this year by John Deere. Following the Awards, JD Training Centre Manager Richard Halshall provided an update on current and future Deere technology.
