Wessex International has launched a new range of hedge cutters for compact tractors of 15hp and above.


Wessex BRM Hedge Cutter

The Wessex BRM hedge cutters are the ideal choice for trimming hedges, bushes, small trees and pruning edges.

There are three models and each is available with cable or joystick controls. The BRM-120 is designed for compact tractors of between 15hp and 40hp, with a minimum weight of 500kg and it features a reversible frame with three hydraulic movements and an independent distributor. The cutter bar size is 120cm (4ft) and the weight of the hedge cutter itself is 180kg. It's capable of pruning tree branches up to 2cm (0.8") thick.

For users of compact tractors in the 25hp to 50hp range the BRM-150 hedge cutter offers a 150cm (5ft) cutter bar and, designed for tractors of 30hp to 60hp, the BRM-200 comes with a 200cm cutter bar. Both models are also equipped with a reversible frame with three hydraulic movements, an independent distributor with flexible cables and a system for ensuring each cutting angle setting is achieved on both sides of the tractor.

Both models are capable of pruning trees and hedges up to 3cm (1¼") and require tractor weights of 600kg and 700kg respectively. For contractors, estates and smallholdings operating compact tractors the Wessex BRM range offers plenty of options for keeping hedges and bushes neatly trimmed, without the heavier cost outlay of the larger type of tractor and hedge cutter.
