THE BUDDING LEGACY
Now available on Amazon

Editor Chris Biddle's new book, The Budding Legacy is now available on Amazon - with a launch discount to Service Dealer readers.

Written and published to coincide with the unveiling of a Blue Plaque at Stroud on 22 April 2015 to commemorate the life and times of Edwin Budding, the book charts the evolution of the lawnmower since Budding's original prototype in 1830 to today's modern machines.

There are chapters on Stroud, the home of the lawnmower, on Budding himself, on the lawn enthusiasts, the science behind the evocative smell of grass and much, much more.

There are special features on the British Lawnmower Museum, on Wimbledon, on 'turf professionals',  fast lawnmowers, Buding and beer and on lawnmowers in advertising.

The foreward is contributed by David Withers, President of Ransomes Jacobsen.

Order details for The Budding Legacy are on Amazon, and readers of Service Dealer can get £2 off the RRP of the book by entering a special promo code D5D58AEW (promotion ends 17 May).
