BIGGEST EVER GIE+EXPO
US show grows again

The organisers of this week's GIE+EXPO, the Louisville, Kentucky-based trade show for the outdoor power equipment industry, say the event has enjoyed its biggest ever year.

Whilst final numbers are not confirmed, show organisers told Service Dealer their projections suggested around 25,000 visitors would have walked through the doors at the Kentucky International Exhibition Centre between Wednesday and Friday this week.

Kris Kiser of the OPEI, said, "The show gets bigger and bigger every year. Part of the success of this, is that we strive to offer something new for our visitors each time.

"This year for example, is the first time we have offered beginners tree climbing demonstrations for our contractor visitors who might be thinking of getting into tree care for the first time.

"For next year, we have just confirmed that we shall be featuring drone flying training sessions."

GIE+EXPO 2020 takes place October 21-23.
