AND FINALLY . . . Quentin Letts rip at robot mower!
An article by writer Quentin Letts in the Daily Mail this week, certainly didn't pull any punches when it came to offering opinons on a robotic mower.
Charged by the paper with testing out the Bosch Indego, some choice quotes from Quentin include:
"Have you noticed how ‘time-saving devices’ invariably waste an awful lot of time?"
"The washing line gave the Indego a nervous breakdown. It started going round in dazed circles, conked out for a few seconds and then returned to its docking station in a huff. It had still not cut a blade of grass."
". ..not so much a daisy-cutter as a daisy-stroker."
"A pair of hand-operated toenail clippers might have achieved more."
"If I am going to spend £1,300 on the garden, I’d prefer to buy several years’ worth of cider for quenching my thirst after an old-fashioned mow, thank you."
