SIMA 2013 Paris show celebrates 75 years with new initiatives
SIMA-SIMAGENA which takes place 24-28 February 2013 at Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte is planning to make its 75th event even more international in 2013. Dedicated to the theme of “highperformance and sustainable world agriculture”, it will also further strengthen its position as the leading event for players from across the agricultural sector.
International exhibitor registrations are up by an additional 12%, with over 41 countries already represented. Buoyed by positive market conditions, foreign visitor numbers are also on the rise, with people from more than 120 countries expected at the show.
As well as regular exhibitors, many companies will be attending SIMA-SIMAGENA for the first time in 2013, including Soucy (Canada), Irtec (Italy) and Agromaster (Finland). Among the newcomers are Portuguese manufacturer Herculano Alfaias Agricolas which produces a wide range of agricultural equipment, including agricultural and forestry trailers, water and slurry tankers, manure spreaders, front loaders, and disc harrows.
American company Orthman will also be exhibiting at SIMA-SIMAGENA for the first time in 2013, with a focus on its earth-moving and strip-tillage equipment. Orthman, a pioneer in the emerging minimum tillage sector, will be showcasing 1tRIPr, a particularly innovative seedbed preparation machine.
SIMA-SIMAGENA will be organising several events to help drive exhibitor sales and exports. Designed to help companies gain a better understanding of the business potential of countries in which they’re thinking of expanding, the events include country breakfasts focusing on Algeria, China and Kazakhstan whilst CLIMMAR (International Liaison Centre for Agricultural Machinery Dealers and Repairers) Meetings. CLIMMAR will organise a series of customized encounters between exhibitors and European distribution networks. It will also provide an opportunity to exchange views on future challenges in the agricultural equipment sector.
There will also be a number of technical talks (Agora SIMA / 1st floor – hall 3). A wide range of talks will be on offer at the show, focusing on themes such as agricultural waste management, safety at work, precision agriculture, and the challenges facing the agricultural equipment industry in the future.
Visitors also benefit from a personalised welcome and guided tours of the show thanks to the International Business Club (1st floor – hall 5a).
The entire www.simaonline.fr website is now available in both French and English as well as nine other languages.
