HONDA GAIN INJUNCTIONS Legal actions agains three companies
During the Eisenwarenmesse 2014’, that took place in Cologne during March, Honda took legal actions against three companies exhibiting products which are believed to be counterfeit. The Court granted three preliminary injunctions in total.
The following companies were exhibiting Honda general purpose copy engines mounted on products like compactor plates, generators and pumps:
China-Huahe Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (Taizhou, China)
A preliminary injunction is a temporary measure to prohibit sales and marketing of the infringing products until a final verdict is announced. Preliminary injunctions are only given when the court is convinced that there is a clear case of infringement.
Honda says they will continue to pursue, by all legal means, the manufacturers and distributors of imitations, in order to protect the market, and more specifically the end-users, from confusion.
