NABBED! Stolen tractors found through JD monitoring link
Two John Deere tractors, stolen from a dealership in Wiltshire on 13 April have been tracked in Poland using the JDLink Monitoring system
The used tractors, a JD 6830 and JD 9630 worth a total of £90,000, were stolen in the early hours of 13 April from R Hunt Ltd branch at Tilshead. The 9630 had recently been retro-fitted with the monitoring system, and branch manager Jamie Fisher says that after some initial diffuculties in accessing the system, he was final able to watch the lorry online as it made its way across Europe. "I then was able to identify and print off a picture of the barn in which the tractors had been stored, and passed over the infomation to the police here and to Interpol."
The tractors are currently in a storage unit in Poland before being returned to Britain.
