SERVICE DEALER BACK IN PRINT
. . but in changed format

Chris Biddle
WHEN I decided to take more of a back-seat last September, we took the decision to incorporate Service Dealer into Turf Pro magazine, to be produced by the experienced team of Scott MacCallum and Tim Moat based in York.

The idea was for me to continue providing news and regular industry insight for the Service Dealer readership via this highly successful weekly newsletter.

During the past few months, Turf Pro has evolved into a fine-looking and highly respected title for the turfcare market in the hands of Scott and Tim - and of course will continue to be an invaluable insight and advertising opportunity for dealers and suppliers who wish to reach end-users, operators and specifiers within the golf, groundscare and amenity markets.

And whilst the weekly Service Dealer E-news has gone from the strength to strength and is widely regarded as the essential weekly ‘news-fix’ for dealers, suppliers and others - it is clear that many readers still miss a paper version to browse through, hand around, take to the loo or even read in bed!

I don’t have to tell you that more and more information is now being provided on-line, and that a monthly magazine to repeat news that has already been covered on-line is no longer economically viable.

However, there IS a strong case for a print version of Service Dealer, albeit in a different format. Therefore I am pleased to tell that that we are planning a Service Dealer Business Quarterly which will be able to take an in-depth, and effective look at the current issues and challenges facing dealers than we can provide on-line.

Service Dealer Business Quarterly will be published as Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter editions, with the first planned for the end of March.  Circulation will be on a controlled circulation basis (not paid subscription) to bona-fide sales and service dealers who will register via this newsletter. More details to follow.

Today is the opportunity to provide you the outline plans, more information will be provided in the coming days - but for suppliers wishing to engage across the whole Service Dealer platform (E-News, website and magazine) a preliminary marketing pack is available on our website to view or to download.

Bear with us whilst we dot a few ‘i’s and cross a few ‘t’s, and I look forward to providing you more information shortly.

Chris Biddle
