TEAM BARTRAM COMPLETES 10K
Three generations in brewery organised race
Three generations of the Bartram family completed the Adnams 10 kilometre race at Southwold in Suffolk last Sunday.
Mark Bartram says, "We decided to run together and the three generations of Bartrams, Barry (75) myself (52) and my son Paddy (22), completed the course in 61 minutes and 33 seconds. It was a very cold day but the rain held off until just before we crossed the finishing line. We all enjoyed the experience despite the pain Dad said he was experiencing in his legs!
"Whilst we entered the race for fun Dad also raised several hundred pounds for Cancer Research from his friends who found out what he was up to."
The hugely popular event attracted 830 registrations which were sold out in just 47 minutes this year.
According to Adnams, "Our runners were very heroic this year in the cold weather, and there was quite a lot of layering. And for the first time, we had a beer station as well as a water station".
Whatever the incentive, Service Dealer sends its congratulations to Team Bartram and particularly to Barry for a splendid achievement.
