DICKIES TO SPONSOR WEYMOUTH QUAD RACE
Two day event expected to attract over 6000

Weymouth Beach race
Dickies, the Streetwear and Workwear brand are sponsoring the Weymouth Beach Race on the 9th-10th of February. The race is organised by O.R.E Events™ who were formed eight years ago, as a result of the increasing demand for race events by a team of Quadbike and Motorcycle Professionals wishing to pioneer the UK’s Quad and Enduro scene.

A press launch took place on Wednesday January 9 that Weymouth Beach and the event is already gaining media coverage from Wessex FM. During the press launch, crowds could not help but gather at the seafront as a number of racing drivers gave viewers a taster of the much-anticipated racing.

Duncan Irons, from O.R.E Events™ said: “This is a brilliant opportunity for Dickies. Most of the drivers involved come from a self-employed or a self-run business background and this is an ideal market for Dickies to target. We are hoping for around 5,000-6,000 visitors at the race days and it is a free spectator event so it should be an entertaining weekend.”

Crowds will be able to pack Weymouth Seafront to enjoy the thrills and spills of this unique event at 10.30am-4pm on both days. The beach course is one mile long and is designed to test the riders to the limit, reaching speeds of 70mph

Maurice Morton, Sales & Marketing Director at Dickies added: “We are delighted to be the main sponsor for the Weymouth Beach Race. It is important for us to keep our name at the forefront.

“It was terrific to see the public stop at the press launch as they walked past to get a glimpse of everything that was happening. We are looking forward to the event.”
