SIMBA IN NORTHERN IRELAND
New distributor appointed

Stephen Lewis

Genesis Distribution Ltd, based at Upper Ballinderry, West of Belfast, is Simba Great Plains’ new distributor for Northern Ireland and Donegal, and has already gone to work with field demonstrations.

The company was started two years ago by Stephen Lewis, who spent three years working with Kverneland’s largest dealer in Ireland, and had been looking for a range of crop establishment equipment to add to a growing portfolio of other equipment:

“We have a lot of mixed farming customers. On the arable side, we are already distributors for FarmGem sprayers and TeeJet Technologies’ range of spraying components and technology, while on the livestock side we handle AG Engineering’s range of bedding machinery, and a range of other products.

“We are delighted to add a really well respected cultivator and drill range such as Simba Great Plains to our portfolio, and look forward to building a healthy working relationship with the company.

David Holmes, Great Plains’ UK Sales Director, believes there is significant potential in the country: “Over the past few years we have developed a comprehensive range of cultivators available in sizes from 3m upwards. and we look forward to working with Genesis Distribution to develop a healthy market”.
