BTME NEXT WEEK
Full education programme and James Bond theme

BTME
The annual BIGGA-organised BTME turfcare show takes place in Harogate next week. With the largest selection of products and services a trip to BTME in Harrogate each January is essential.

Firmly established as Europe's foremost turf care show, this superb event takes place from 22-24 January 2013 at Harrogate International Centre over three vibrant days in which Harrogate, UK, becomes the heart of the turf care industry - meaning unbeatable networking opportunities.

Also, BIGGA will be hosting over 54 educational Workshops and Seminars over five days in the Queen’s Suite including Fringe Seminar presentations from exhibiting companies - which runs from 20-23 January.

This year's guest speakers include Curtis Tyrrell MG, Director of Golf Course Operations at the Medinah Country Club - host of the spectacular 2012 Ryder Cup. He'll be joined by Jim McKenzie, who conquered atrocious conditions at Celtic Manor two years ago to help the Europeans emerge victorious, and Steve Chappell who is now looking forward to welcoming the party to Gleneagles in 2014.

As well as the lowdown on past, present and future Ryder Cups, the Continue to Learn programme will host the Turf Managers' Conference featuring Dr Thom Nikolai, one of the world's most eminent turf professors.

The exhibition encompasses every product in the industry including artificial grass, course furniture, drainage, fertilisers, groundscare machinery and equipment, irrigation, mowers, soil biology, spraying, turf and seeds, water, lake and pond management and wetting agents and so much more.

The social aspect of Harrogate has always been a feature of the show and this year is no exception with the BIGGA James Bond evening at 7pm at The Old Swan Hotel in the heart of Harrogate. Tickets are just £25 and include a meal, drink on arrival and all manner of surprises related to 007. To snap up tickets call Elaine Jones on 01347 833800 or email moneypenny@bigga.co.uk. Dress code is smart casual.
