WATCH FIRST DRIVERLESS FAIRWAY MOWER IN ACTION TurfLynx F315
The makers of the first driverless fairway mower, TurfLynx, have released a video showing their electric machine in operation.
They say this year they are already doing business in Europe and are aiming for the US market in 2017.
The F300series mowers are fully electric, fully autonomous, triplex lawnmowing machines. There are two models: the F31522, with 22” mowing units, and the F31526 with 26” mowing units.
The company says they have developed the series in close collaboration with greenkeepers and superintendents. A spokesman said, "We regularly incorporate customer suggestions into our products, making them tailored to our customers' needs."
A worring claim for greenkeepers made in the video is that the machine reduces labour costs by 90%!
