CAMPEY HEAD TO CHICAGO SHOW
Backing Turfgrass Producers International

Koro FTM

No rest for the Campey Turf Care Systems Demo Team. Hot on the heels of a successful TGA show in the UK, the Campey team has already headed out to the States to take part in the Turfgrass Producers International (TPI) Summer Convention in Chicago which took place this week from Monday to Thursday (22nd-25th July), at Payne Sod Farm, Monteno, Chicago.

Running alongside the Convention were a number of Field Days which provided the opportunity for members of the TPI and associated companies such as Campey Turf Care and Imants, to demonstrate turf renovation and maintenance techniques with the latest machinery.

“Our main focus was on the new Koro FTM with Terraplane® and Universe® rotors” explained Richard Campey Managing Director. “These are the latest two new patented rotors for the renowned Koro by Imants Field Top Maker. One is for natural turf and the other for all surfaces.”

1) The Terraplaner Rotor achieves a perfectly level turf surface, ready for aeration and overseeding by quickly removing unwanted organic material such as poa-annua, thatch, weeds or the entire surface to a depth of 50mm.

2) The Universe Rotor is for removing a year’s accumulated organic matter from synthetic, natural and hybrid surfaces in only one pass. It has been tested on DESSO Grass Master with fantastic results, demonstrating the ability to totally remove the organic accumulations on the immediate pitch surface.

Richard Campey and son John Campey conducted the main demonstrations yesterday (Thursday 25th) and were glad of the opportunity to showcase the best techniques and machines for grass maintenance.

“This is a great opportunity to show just what can be achieved these days with the right equipment. We provide the best machines for better playing surfaces and are keen to spread this message as wide as possible.” Said Richard.

TPI is the only worldwide association committed to the advancement of the turfgrass sod industry. Through the education of its members, product users and various green industry and government entities, the association serves to encourage the use of turfgrass sod worldwide.
