HOSEPIPE BAN? YOU BET! Odds slashed on restrictions this year
Bookmakers William Hill have trimmed the price of a hosepipe ban being enforced in the UK from 12/1 to 10/1 after a run of bets over the bank holiday weekend.
It is also 8/1 that May contains the hottest day of 2013 and 12/1 that a temperature of 30C is recorded before the end of the month. "Just a few weeks ago a hosepipe ban was 100/1, now we are just 10/1 and that price could easily shorten further!" said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
