Crowds gathered round the T H White stand at the Royal Three Counties Show on 14 June as TV farmer Adam Henson took delivery of a giant New Holland combine harvester from T H White’s agricultural general manager, Adrian Lovegrove.

Adam, a regular presenter on the Sunday night BBC Countryfile programme, runs Cotswold Farm Park which has been hugely successful in introducing the public – and youngsters in particular – to the importance of farming and conservation, with a special emphasis on rare breeds. Alongside that, he also has a 650 hectare farm on which he works with his business partner Duncan Andrews, carrying out a wide range of activities. These include crop production, rearing animals for breeding, meat and wool, contracting operations, wildlife conservation and recreational activities.

Adam and Duncan have been running a New Holland rotor combine for the last four years, and their experience of its performance and reliability made it easy for Adam and his team to decide to purchase a brand new New Holland CR 9070 with a 30-foot Varifeed header. “It’s a superb piece of kit,” said Adam, “and I’m looking forward to putting it to work on this year’s harvest.”

Adrian Lovegrove said: “We are very pleased to be able to continue T H White’s association with Adam Henson in this way. He has been a tremendous ambassador for good farming practice and is committed to many of the causes that T H White supports as well."

This year, T H White’s stand – dominated by Adam’s combine – won not only a Tradestand Gold award, but also the Tradestand Supreme Champion award, a tremendous accolade which placed T H White first among more than 300 other trade stands.
