The Turfgrass Growers Association has announced details of the demonstration programme for its Turf Show on Tuesday 9th July.

The biennial event will be hosted by Fineturf at the 135-acre turf farm run by Simon Hutton, at Honington, near Grantham, Lincolnshire.

The show is a rare opportunity to see a wide range of machinery used for the production, maintenance and harvesting of quality cultivated turf in one place, on one day. Demonstrations begin at 10.30am and will run throughout the day:

• 10:30 to 10:50 – Trebro UK – SC2010 Turf Harvester
• 11:00 to 11:20 – Precision Decisions – Kubota buggy with Wintex Soil Sampler
• 11:30 to 11:50 – Campey Turf Care Systems – New Holland tractors, Vredo Agri Twin, Omarv TER 190, Imants Shockwave 275, Dakota 414, Speedresser 24, Koro FTM Terraplane
• 12:00 to 12:20 – BLEC Global - Power box rakes, cultipack seeder, turfmaker seeder, laser grader, self-loading top dresser, multi seeder, disc seeder
• Lunch (plus demo and test drive of John Deere’s new XUV 855D Gator 4x4 utility vehicle with power steering)
• 14:00 to 14:20 – Broadwood International - 3 Deck 6.8 roller mower, tractor-operated
• 14:30 to 14:50 – Trimax Mowing Systems - X-WAM, Pegasus S3 610 Classic
• 15:00 to 15:20 – The Grass Group - Trilo SG1165, Trilo VCM240, Rotadairon RX300 and John Deere Ltd - 6125M 125hp full-frame tractor with Michelin turf tyres and AutoTrac Universal automatic guidance system
• 15:30 – 15:40 – Trebro UK – AutoStack II

In addition to demonstrations, visitors will be able to meet exhibitors who supply specialist products and services, network with turf industry colleagues, and enjoy locally-sourced refreshments.

Tickets are also available for the turf show dinner which will be held in the evening at the nearby De Vere Belton Woods Hotel.
