SERVICE TO INDUSTRY AWARD WON
By marketing agency Fusion Media

Fusion Media, the marketing and corporate communications agency, has recently been recognised for its commitment to the horticulture industry by receiving a joint award with one of its clients; Etesia UK at the recent Party for Perennial.

The event, which was held at The Roof Gardens in Kensington, London, saw over 300 people from across the industry attend the charity’s party, who have been helping horticulturists since 1839. It was a great opportunity to not only raise funds, but also to recognise those who have been influential in supporting the charity and raising the profile of the industry.

L-R - Perennial Chair Dougal Phillip, Fusion Media MD Christopher Bassett, Operations Director of Etesia UK Les Malin & Gardener, writer and broadcaster Rachel de Thame.

Fusion Media, although specialists in a number of industries, has been applying its creative services to the sportsturf and amenity market for over ten years. With a broad range of clients in this industry, 2014 saw the company cover 80,185 miles visiting groundsmen, greenkeepers, landscapers and contractors, had 1,147 magazine and website features published in trade magazines and sent out 44,139 social media posts – all promoting the work of various companies within the industry.

The company was influential in organising and promoting a charity event which raised over £6,500 for the national charity. The event, called Mowerthon, saw Phil Voice of the Landscape Juice Network website driving an Etesia ride-on lawn mower 1,250 miles from Bergerac in France all the way to John O’Groats in Scotland.

Commenting on the award, Fusion Media managing director Christopher Bassett said: “We are thrilled to have received this award. This truly is a great industry and everyone involved is so passionate about what they do. Perennial is a fabulous charity and must be commended for the outstanding work and commitment they deliver on a daily basis.

“As a company, we will continue to play our part and help in every way we can.”
