NEW OEM SALES MANAGER AT B&S
Mark Kerr takes up position

Mark Kerr

Briggs & Stratton have promoted Mark Kerr to the position of Sales Manager – OEM Engines.

In his new role he will be responsible for the UK and Ireland.

Mark, who has been with the company for eleven years and worked in the industry for 26, will be responsible for a wide variety of customers ranging from large global OEM’s to smaller, independent manufacturers.

“Their common demand is for modern, reliable and environmentally friendly petrol power engines for the commercial & domestic market,” says Mark who is confident that recent significant innovations from Briggs & Stratton places the business in a very strong position in the market place.

He specifically identifies the EFI, EXi and InStart that were all recently introduced and which are already proving popular with original equipment manufacturers, the UK and Ireland dealer network and end consumers.

The Vanguard EFI (electronic fuel injection) engines feature an automotive-based, closed loop system that offers significant fuel savings over conventional carburetted systems.

The EXi Series overhead valve engines have been totally redesigned and will replace the Quantum (600 Series) which, with more than 100 million worldwide sales, is one of Briggs & Stratton’s most successful product.

InStart is a unique Lithium-Ion battery powered starting system fitted to the Briggs & Stratton 675iS, 775iS and 875iS engines.
