UK TRACTOR REGISTRATIONS UP 3.5% increase in first 9 months of this year
UK agricultural tractor registrations in the first 9 months of the year were 10,553 units, an increase of 3.5% on the preceding year, according to figures released by the AEA.
An analysis of the regional split can be seen below in the form of a table plus a graph.
AEA Economist, Chris Evans says, "It is always difficult to draw many conclusions by farm type but we note that the regions showing the greatest improvement were the West Midlands (+18.6%), the North East (+15%) and Northern Ireland (+14.1%)".
The average power of units sold increased by 2.7% in the period to 157.3hp.
The table and chart below show that smaller units up to 140hp saw reductions on a year earlier, whilst those of a higher size grouping rose.
