ALLETT PARTNERS EDGBASTON
Two year agreement with stadium

Edgbaston Head Groundsman, Gary Barwell

Specialist lawnmower manufacturer, Allett Mowers, has secured a two year partnership agreement with Edgbaston Stadium, to be the famous cricket venue’s official cylinder mower partner.

Allett is providing the Edgbaston groundstaff with six of its top specification cutting edge cylinder mowers for the 2013 season, during which the stadium will host five key matches, including the final of the prestigious ICC Champions Trophy, as well as domestic cricket’s biggest day, Friends Life t20 Finals Day.

Austin Jarrett, managing director of Allett Mowers, comments: “Edgbaston is one of the world’s most famous cricket venues and we’re honoured to confirm an official partnership with such a prestigious venue.

“By working closely with Head Groundsman, Gary Barwell, and his team not only will we be able to gain more global exposure for the Allett brand and its products, but it will also allow us to develop closer links with Edgbaston’s network of local cricket clubs and schools and help them in creating their own world class playing surfaces.”

Allett Mowers will also utilise Edgbaston’s new conference and events facilities to host workshops for groundsmen of local cricket clubs. The workshops will include a presentation on all things grass, live demonstrations of Allett machinery, lunch and a talk from Edgbaston’s Head Groundsman.
