Great Plains is adding a 4m version of the Centurion to its drill range.
The new drill -the Centurion 4 - will be available as a grain only or grain & fertiliser model, and will be shown in concept form at Cereals 2014, with field testing planned for autumn 2014 and spring 2015.
It will feature two rows of 460mm cultivation discs running ahead of a tyre packer that offers highly consistent consolidation in front of Great Plains' 00 Series openers, with the option of either 125mm or 167mm row spacings. Control is via a Mueller ISOBUS-ready system.
The new drill folds to 3m for transport, with the transport weight being carried on the packer, which is fitted with 420/55 17 tyres. A full European lighting kit is fitted.
The concept machine will be the centrepiece of a busy stand, which will feature up to 15 machines, including the new European Yield-Pro YPE825 planter launched at Agritechnica and the FC08 (eight metre wide) Field Cultivator, both of which also fold to 3m.
