DEERE TOP THE (OLD) CHARTS AGAIN
Market shares for 2015 announced

EU regulations permit publication of market share data, but only after one year.
The AEA has just announced the market share data for 2015  for tractors over 50hp

The release of these statistics is in accordance with a Decision of the European Commission permitting the analysis of company information one year in arrears.

A notable difference between the order of the manufacturers on this list compared with the 2014 figures is that Kubota has moved up a position into 4th place increasing their share from 4.7% to 6.7%, overtaking CLAAS who drop to 5th. Also at the foot of the list JCB and Zetor have swapped positions. The rest of the placings remain the same.

The market share data for 2015 was:

  • 30.2%  (3655 units) JOHN DEERE
  • 27.1% (3283 units) CNH (inc Case and New Holland)
  • 21.3% (2577 units) AGCO (inc MF, Fendt, Valtra and Challenger)
  • 6.7% (810 units) KUBOTA
  • 4.8% (583 units) CLAAS
  • 2.4% (289 units AGRI-ARGO (inc McCormick, Landini)
  • 2.3% (284 units) SDF
  • 1.3% (156 units) JCB
  • 1.1% (128 units) ZETOR

347 units sold by others (2.9%)

The data analysed are tractor units registered for road use under the Department for Transport body code 'agricultural tractor'. Almost all tractors sold into agriculture are registered. However, it should be noted that small tractors (e.g. below 50 hp) are sold in various markets and not all are registered.
