KUBOTA HELP CONSERVATION CHARITY
Joins forces with local dealer

Kubota UK has teamed up with Lloyd Ltd, one of tjheir groundcare machinery dealers in the north of England, to support a local charity that is creating a sustainable conservation site in North Yorkshire.

The Wakefield District Badger Group is a registered charity run by a small group of enthusiastic volunteers whose primary aim is the protection and conservation of badgers. The group is currently undertaking a flagship project to create a wildlife conservation area and approached Kubota and Lloyds for support.

Kubota’s BX2350

Paul Hayward, Group Secretary for Wakefield District Badger Group, commented: “It’s the first time our charity has had the opportunity to create a wildlife conservation area at one dedicated location. The four acre site in North Yorkshire will include a wild flower meadow, wildlife grassland, tree planting, hedgerow restoration and the creation of a sizeable wildlife pond. The site will also include an operations base such as a workshop and storage facilities to protect and maintain our conservation equipment.

“As part of the creation and ongoing management of this site, it was vital we had a multipurpose machine that could undertake a wide range of tasks, from grass cutting and landscaping, to loader work and moving equipment around the site. With limited funds, budget was also a critical factor, as the purchase of a machine represented the biggest investment the group had ever made.”

Working in partnership with Lloyds, and following extensive research and professional advice, the Wakefield District Badger Group selected Kubota’s BX2350 as the ideal solution.

Paul continued: “Alistair Whitby at Lloyds took me through all the different options and recommended Kubota’s BX2350 as the best machine to meet and exceed our requirements. He also put forward a very supportive package to help us purchase the machine. I then approached Kubota about supporting this further by supplying a loader and rear counterweight and I was delighted they agreed to make this important donation to our group.”

“Since taking delivery of the Kubota tractor, it’s making a massive impact in helping us create this wildlife conservation area. The reliability of the machine is second to none, it just doesn't let you down. It packs a real punch in terms of power too. There are a host of features for easy operation like the hydrostatic transmission, cruise control and power steering. This is all backed up by excellent service from both Kubota and Lloyds.”
