NO-TILL SHOW & CONFERENCE
Tickets now on sale for Groundswell

Tickets are now on sale for an independent conference and field event focused on no-till techniques, soil regeneration and the value of livestock in arable and mixed farming situations.

Groundswell, designed and hosted by the Cherry farming family, is being put on for farmers. It takes place at Lannock Manor Farm, Hertfordshire on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th June 2017, welcoming speakers from around the world. This will be the event’s second year following their successful Groundswell last year, which attracted 500 farmers.

John and Paul Cherry

Groundswell 2017 will see the introduction of the ‘Grass-Fed Day’ on the 28th June, which will focus on rotational livestock grazing, as well as growing and finishing animals on a grass/silage/straw-only diet. The day will include mob-stocking demonstrations with the family’s 120-head of beef shorthorn cattle.

The second “No-Till Day” incorporates field-scale demonstrations for the market’s leading direct drills alongside a range of speakers who will give their insights into no-till farming from around the UK and rest of the world.

Speakers for both days include: Dr Christine Jones (Australia), founder of Amazing Carbon; David Montgomery and Anne Biklé (USA), authors of The Hidden Half of Nature and Dirt, the Erosion of Civilisations; Graeme Sait (Australia) CEO of Nutri-Tech solutions and Keith Thompson (USA), farming a continuous no-till system since 1991 near Osage City, Kansas.

Commenting on the event, co-host Paul Cherry said; “Groundswell is an opportunity for visitors to speak to a wide range of exhibitors who will offer advice and recommendations on products and services such as cover crop seeds, precision agriculture, nutritional supplements and specialist machinery and agronomy.”

The event location is: Lannock Manor Farm, Weston, Hitchin, Hertfordshire SG4 7EE; it is within a mile of Junction 9 of the A1(M) in North Hertfordshire on Wednesday 28th (Grass-Fed Day) and Thursday 29th June (No-Till Day) 2017.

Tickets available at £45 for Grass-Fed Day, £55 for No-Till Day or £85 (+VAT and Booking Fee) for both days from www.groundswellag.com
