NAAC TO HOLD CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION
December 14th at the East of England Showground

Agricultural contractors will be stepping squarely into the limelight on December 14th at the National Association of Agricultural Contractor’s (NAAC) conference and exhibition at the East of England Showground, Peterborough.

"With over 91% of farmers using a contractor, the post-Brexit future must ensure a level playing field for contractors and farmers alike", said Duncan Russell, NAAC Chief Executive. "The time is right for our sector to be heard and to play an active role in the future shape of UK agriculture. Contractor 2017 will look at the future role of contractors in farming and the food chain and how businesses can confidently move ahead."

Entitled, ‘Contractors - Farming’s Best Kept Secret’, the conference is aimed at NAAC Members and non-members from across the UK and is the only national event to focus on the agricultural contracting sector.

Sponsored by John Deere Limited and RPC bpi Agriculture and supported by over 44 exhibitors, the day will include a packed exhibition arena full of machinery and services focussed on the specialised needs of agricultural contractors. There will also be a business hub with experts representing many of the benefits that NAAC members enjoy such as a health and safety package, legal services and insurance.

In the morning session speakers, including Meurig Raymond, NFU President and Duncan Sinclair, Waitrose Agricultural Manager, will focus on the future of farming and food and the integral role of contractors.

After a hot lunch, delegates will be free to roam the exhibition hall and talk to a wide range of exhibitors, alongside practically focussed transport seminars including Dan Cox, a road traffic police expert from Avon and Somerset Police looking at how to stay road legal.
