RVW PUGH CONTINUE MASSEY CELEBRATIONS
With a tractor run

This year Massey Ferguson celebrates 60 years with their ‘Diamond celebrations’ whaich are taking place across the country and in the press throughout 2018.

RVW Pugh, Massey Ferguson dealers, have held the franchise since the year 2000 but have also been in business since 1978, marking 40 years this year. Celebrations are on-going for the company with a recent successful Open Day at their Cheshire branch, welcoming over 400 people.

They have also recently introduced a unique black Massey Ferguson tractor to their fleet, which will mark a special year for them and on the 22nd of April they hosted an exclusively Massey Ferguson road run.

The concept was to hold a tractor run to celebrate all the prominent models from across the years up to the present day. The route set off from their Head office in Churchstoke, Powys and took the entrants up over the Kerry Ridgeway to Clun where they were treated to a hog roast. The afternoon session saw the tractors head over the very tops of the Kerry Forest, the sun shining and the views were breathtaking.

Just over 46 tractors entered the road run with models dating back to 1958 to ones as new as 2018, with the most photographed models being the MF 1505 and the MF 1200 articulated tractors both from Mr Humphries who travelled from Church Stretton. There were entrants from as far as Malvern as well as plenty of onlookers who were overjoyed to see such a great range of MF tractors.

Andrew Purnell, Massey Ferguson area sales manager took part and said, "It was a great day, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it". Some of the ladies of the Pugh family, Caroline Pugh and Emma Leah did their bit for the girls with Emma on a vintage MF35 and Caroline driving one of the new Massey Ferguson 4709 global tractors. Mary Evans, RVW Pugh Marketing Manager took their black Massey Ferguson to prominent points along the route which attracted a lot of attention with its unique look.

RVW Pugh has donated money from the run to Severn Hospice charity which will go towards specialist care and support to families across Shropshire and North Powys who are living with an incurable illnesses.

With such a successful event it has been suggested by participants that it becomes a yearly occurrence. 'Watch this space', say RVW Pugh!
